The center will feature two towers containing operating rooms, radiology services, neuroscience intensive care units, and a total of 201 inpatient beds.

An Infrastructure for Healing

The Adams Neurosciences Center at Yale New Haven Hospital will be a place where advanced science and compassionate care come together to bring hope to patients and families facing complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions.

Grounded in leading research and clinical expertise, the Center will offer highly personalized care – including medical, surgical and emerging therapies – while driving new discoveries that expand what’s possible in the treatment of brain and nervous system disorders.

A New Era in Neuroscience Care and Research

The Adams Neurosciences Center, anchored by two patient care towers, will serve as the foundation for advanced and innovative neurological and neurosurgical care for patients from across the country. Spanning more than 500,000 square feet, the center is designed to support comprehensive, patient-centered care in a modern healing environment.

The towers will house neurosurgery operating rooms, advanced neuroimaging, rehabilitation services, and multiple inpatient care units, all featuring private, single-patient rooms. Together, the buildings will include 184 patient rooms, four neurosurgery operating rooms, radiology and interventional imaging services, and the existing McGivney Advanced Surgery Center, creating a fully integrated hub for complex neurological care.

The Adams Neurosciences Center will provide specialized treatment for a wide range of conditions, including epilepsy and seizure disorders; movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease; spinal disorders; and neurovascular conditions including stroke and aneurysms. Focused offerings will also include neuromodulation therapies, which alter the body’s pain or neural signals to improve patient outcomes.

Designed to support both patients and families, the center will feature a welcoming lobby, café, gift shop, retail pharmacy, conference rooms, and a conference center seating up to 245 people that spans both towers. For added convenience, a two-level, 200-space underground garage will be located beneath one tower. The center builds on Yale New Haven Hospital’s long history of excellence in neurosciences care, recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a “Best Hospital” for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
