16th Annual Closer to Free Ride

The 16th Annual Closer to Free Ride will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026. We would love for you to join us!

The CTF Ride fuels research and care at Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center, while providing Riders of all levels the opportunity to experience five professionally designed and fully supported routes, ranging from 10 to 100 miles. If you’re not in the New Haven area, you can still join our community remotely and ride wherever you are. All routes start and end at the historic Yale Bowl in New Haven, CT.

The Closer to Free Ride cannot happen without the dedication and support of hundreds of Volunteers. If you’re not into pedaling, join us as a volunteer and share your energy and enthusiasm with our community.
